I had a fantastic holiday and was overwhelmed at the enthusiasm this week in every class, so thank you. Sam and I had one week catching up with business and then an extremely hot week in Rhodes where it was in the 40's most days, and as ever Sam and I walked everywhere regardless of the temperature and most days we averaged 5 hours walking although this was done in stages and never in the middle of the day!!!!
I have come back revived and refreshed and raring to go. There will be various new bits added in each week from September to give each class a new twist. Combat will be added to Tuesday's Swanmore class and it is so much fun, just focus on something or someone who has been annoying you and take it out in the combat section, brilliant for toning and unbeatable for stress busting.
Bands and weights will be an optional extra for those of you that do Pilates. The added resistance will make you work that little bit harder and I will be gradually introducing some standing sections to some classes. I will also be trialling some moves put into a routine so you will do a sequence of moves before stretching - again to work you a little harder. However there is always the option to work at the level that suits you best so you get to choose the intensity that is best for you - after all - you are the best judge of your own ability.
I am soooooooo excited about all the things that are happening from September. I have the new classes on a Monday at Bursledon; Pilates and Zumba, Cheerleading at Wyvern College and yet another Zumba at Whiteley on a Friday. I have had several requests for a Zumba class at Chandlers Ford and Winchester. I am waiting for the hall at The Hilt to be completed which should be around October so will bring you more news then but am having trouble sourcing a hall at Winchester so if you know of anywhere and have the contact details feel free to email me and I will do some investigating.
Hulacise starts at Upham next Saturday from 9am and is a 6 week course. I have had a couple of cancellations so now have 2 extra spaces so do contact me if this is something that you would like to do and I hope to offer more courses later in the year. If you would like to see the return of Step 'n' Tone after the Hulacise course then please email me as I am happy to put it back on but it will be a pre pay course like the Hula.
The charity Zumbathon is all set to go ahead next Saturday at 2pm with nibbles and drinks later on in the evening if you fancy it and lets face it you will definitely deserve it after two hours of zumbaing! There will be a mix of new and old tracks but keep your fingers crossed for good weather as we will be outside but there is a canopy should the heavens decide to open. If you are at class this week then I will let you have the address details then or if I have your email then I will ping the details across to do via cyberspace! It is sure to be a blast, if any of your friends fancy it then feel free to bring them along - the more the merrier!
The nutrition workshop is all set for 19th September and I am really looking forward to some weird and wonderful questions. I cannot guarantee I will know all the answers straight away but I will promise to contact you with the answer if I can't answer it on the spot. I have been making the final tweaks to the workshop and am really looking forward to the visuals I have planned for you. All those that have booked, I need you to bring in a healthy snack with you on the day but it has to be something that you would eat. If you do not normally snack on what you consider to be healthy food then bring in anything that is in your normal diet; you may be pleasantly surprised!
From next week I will be looking at parts of the body and discussing how they work and why they sometimes cause us problems and ways around it. If there is any area that you currently suffer with feel free to contact me and I will make sure I include it. Those of you that know me are sure to realise the first ones will be the spine and those shoulders!!!
