This week was an AMAZING week. Everybody who attended my classes really threw their heart and soul into it and it was wonderful to see. Each week I am reminded how much I absolutely love this job becasue you guys out there never cease to amaze me! I see you come to class or attend your sessions week in week out and I watch that body transform. Vanity aside I also see your characters change and I wonder whether you guys are even aware of that. When you first attend classes some of you are nervous quiet and try to hide at the back and who can blame you! But slowly and surely you emerge as a confident and happy individudal, no longer avoiding looking in the mirrors but proudly standing tall and giving all the choreography every bit of energy you can muster. No matter what exercises I throw at you, you go at them with gusto, maybe with a little grimacing at me thrown in but the end results speak for themselves.

However, this phenomenon is not exclusive to classes. This week one couple I have only been training for a matter of weeks have lost an astonishing 9 inches between them and I am over the moon. They have worked incredibly hard and have done everything I have asked of them and more. They may look back and recall how hard some of those sessions were but aren't they worth it when you lose a massive 9 INCHES!!!! I didn't even weigh them becasue to be honest, who cares? Their clothes fit better, they feel better and they are wearing the largest smiles ever. Maybe now you have a little insight into why I love this job and my one and only regret is that I didn't come into it sooner.

I have told you the above to let you realise that potential that is within you. If you are reading this thinking that is okay for them but is so much harder for me I have one word for you, RUBBISH.

If you are unhappy with your weight, body shape or whatever then make the decision today, NOW to do something about it. No waiting for Monday, that is just an excuse to binge all weekend and make yourself feel even worse!

Being an ex smoker I know how hard it is to give something up but I also know how easy it can be when you REALLY want it. I had smoked for the best part of 16 years but had made the decision that fitness was the way forward for me. I had always enjoyed exercise but struggled courtesy of the fags! I got myself a nictoine nasal inhalator for when the cravings got really bad but hardly ever used it. To this day I still have a spare one in the cupboard just in case!! A little out of date by now I would have thought! I did have cravings but I clung on to the fact that I wanted to set up my own fitness business enterprise and cigarettes were not included!

This can all be applied to changing our eating and exercise habits. When you are wanting that snack, cake, biscuit, chocolate, pastry (whatever!) ask yourself the following questions.

Are you actually hungry? Try drinking a glass of water and waiting 20 minutes first.
Why do you want that food?
How are you going to feel after you have eaten it/not exercised?
Is there a healthier alternative you could have?
Why are you trying to eat healthily/exercise in the first place?
Is you eating that food/not exercising more important than reaching your goal?

This may seem a little daft yet for the dozens of people I have worked with it has helped. When you start to achieve your goal little by little it is the best feeling in the world. Maybe you are reading this and thinking that is all well and good for you to say but you are thin. Not always and the rules are exactly the same for me. I have to watch what I eat and exercise in a way that forces my body to sit up and pay attention!!

Let me know your stories and don't give up on yourself. You CAN achieve your goals and I will be with you every step of the way. See you soon and have a great week.
